Police: Twelve People Arrested at Underage Drinking Party
The party took place Jan. 3 on the 2000 block of Broadmoor Lane in Vernon Hills.
These incidents were among the official reports of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.
Twelve individuals were charged on alcohol-related offenses at an underage drinking party Jan. 3 on the 2000 block of Broadmoor Lane in Vernon Hills.
The following individuals were charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor: Shannon N. Nugent, 18, of 2062 Broadmoor Lane, Vernon Hills; Caitlyn R. Sernett, 18, of 1525 Oakmont Drive, Vernon Hills; Patrick E. Newman, 18, of 160 Ranney Ave., Vernon Hills; two 17-year-old boys; and a 16-year-old girl.
The following individuals were charged with possession of alcohol by a minor: Lauren N. Hernandez, 18, of 311 Richmond Place, Vernon Hills; Kevin G. Davis, 18, of 604 Quakerridge Court, Vernon Hills; two 17-year-old boys; and two 17-year-old girls.
Vernon Hills Police said all 12 were released on a notice to appear in court.

Girls go drinking they can't handle alcohol and get raped. Don't they ever learn anything from other people's mistakes ?? We just had a girl raped , why ? got so drunk she didn't know what she was doing..Where are those kids parents ????
kids running wild and out of control, parents have no control over their kids anymore..
Parents who have no control over their kids ?? should they be allow to have guns in their house ??? no.
Sandy Hook school shooting , Mrs. Lanza had no control of her kid and she had guns in the house...There are 1 million families out there like the Lanza's ? maybe 2 million ?? time bombs waiting to go off. That is where Democrats need to concentrate their gun laws restrictions.
