Chicago's Snowless Streak (Finally) Broken

O'Hare International Airport received 1.1 inches of snow as of Friday morning.

Chicago's snowless streak has officially ended.

As of 9:30 a.m. Jan. 25, O'Hare International Airport had received 1.1 inches of snow, breaking the 335-day streak of consecutive days without a 1-inch snowfall, according to the National Weather Service Office in Chicago.

Jan. 25 also marks the latest day for a one-inch snowfall in Chicago. The previous record was Jan. 17, 1899.

The National Weather Service said Chicago had received a total of 2.8 inches of snow this season as of 9:30 a.m. Jan. 25.
