'Toys for Tots' Drop-Off Locations in Vernon Hills

Want to help some less-fortunate children this holiday season? Why not participate in this U.S. Marine Corps program?

Want to help some needy children enjoy the holidays?

Why not donate a toy or two (or more) to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program!

There are several drop-off locations right here in Vernon Hills, including:

  • Vernon Hills Police Department, 740 Lakeview Pkwy., where items can be dropped off 24 hours a day.
  • Vernon Hills Village Hall, 290 Evergreen Drive. Items can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Vernon Hills Public Works, 490 Greenleaf Drive. Items can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Vernon Hills Park District also announced its participation in the program, with the Sullivan and Laschen Community Centers serving as drop-off sites.

"New, unwrapped toys suitable for children, newborn through 16 years old, can be dropped off in the designated Toys for Tots collection boxes in the community centers," according to a press release from the park district. The last day to drop off toys at the community centers is Dec. 12.

Toys will be accepted at the police department, village hall and public works through Dec. 13.
