CCU Hosts Free Seminar: “Home Staging Basics From A Pro”

No-cost educational program is open to the public on March 26th  

Vernon Hills, IL, March 5, 2014:  Selling a new home can be a challenging process, especially for home owners doing so for the first time.  Helping others realize the potential of the product they plan to sell isn’t easy; in fact, it often requires professional assistance. That’s why Consumers Credit Union (CCU, $604 Million, Waukegan, IL) is proud to offer it’s FREE workshop, “Home Staging Basics From a Pro,” on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the Holiday Inn – Gurnee.  This no-cost seminar is open to the public, and includes vital information on the steps needed to assure sellers get a fair price for their homes.

“Selling a home in today’s real estate market can be a very stressful experience,” said Sean M. Rathjen, CCU President/CEO. “There are currently an abundance of homes for sale, creating a so-called ‘buyers’ market.’  While most sellers are very clear on what makes a house a ‘home’ in their eyes, they are often uncertain about how to make their property more attractive to potential buyers.  We’re excited to offer a workshop that focuses on the staging and selling experience, with an opportunity for attendees to learn the best ways to generate a positive response from those planning to purchase a new home.”

Tara Quinn owner of QUINNtessential Staging & Design, and Chris Mostyn, a Senior Account Executive of Brook Furniture will lead the workshop, offering helpful tips on how to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that will attract potential buyers to properties. Tara has insights gathered from her 10 years of experience in the home staging and presentation field. Working with Brook Furniture for over 6 years, Chris has a unique understanding of what it will take to effectively stage a home currently on the market at little to no cost for the seller. The seminar also features Gil Chavez and Lucas Frantz from CCU’s Mortgage Department; they will be available to discuss financing options and other important items for those planning to sell their homes.

“Home Staging Basics From a Pro” is open to the public as well as credit union Members at no charge on Wednesday March 26, 2014, at the Holiday Inn in Gurnee, IL, starting at 6:00pm.  The seminar is produced in cooperation with QUINNtessential Staging & Design and Consumers Cooperative Association, the credit union’s sponsor.
