Bring the entire family to enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, cider and of course, a spectacular view as Vernon Hills kicks off the holidays Nov. 24.
At 4:30 p.m. at the Vernon Hills Golf Course, 291 Evergreen Drive, Mayor Roger Byrne will flip the switch to light up the holiday tree and Menorah.
A special guest will also be in attendance. Thanks to the Countryside Fire District, Santa Claus will make an appearance to visit with children.
The event is free and open to the public.
