Sunshine, Rain and Mid-60s Temperatures This Week

By Korrina Grom

Memorial Day may have marked the unofficial start of summer — and meteorological summer officially began on June 1 — but it looks like this week's weather won't feel very summer-like.

While mostly-sunny skies are expected Monday and Tuesday, temperatures aren't forecast to reach beyond 68 degrees. The forecast high for Monday is 66, while we could see 68 on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Chicago.

We'll have a 30 percent chance of showers Tuesday night, followed by a 40 percent chance of showers all day Wednesday. The forecast high for Wednesday is 68.

There's a slight chance of showers on Thursday with a high of 66. Sunshine will return on Friday, with a forecast high of 68. Temperatures are expected to reach the low 70s on Saturday and Sunday, though there's a chance of showers and thunderstorm on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
