Local Financial Advisor Named “Five Star Wealth Manager” Award

Mike Gibbons of CF & IS earns 2012 Chicago Magazine Awards

Vernon Hills, IL, December 10, 2012:  Mike Gibbons, President of Consumers Financial & Investment Services (CF & IS), recently earned the “Five Star Wealth Manager” designation by Chicago Magazine. CF & IS is a business partner of Consumers Credit Union (CCU; $585 M, Waukegan, IL), where he provides financial consulting and analysis to the credit union’s 58,000+ Members.  The coveted designation is awarded to fewer than 2% of the licensed wealth managers in the greater Chicagoland area, based on a survey of CF & IS customers conducted by Five Star Professional.

Five Star Professional surveyed more than 30,800 high-wealth households in the Chicago area, evaluating more than 2,970 registered financial services professionals with five or more years experience in the industry.  Participants in the survey were asked to evaluate only those wealth managers they knew through personal experience.  The evaluation process and the results were driven by research conducted with clients, peers and industry experts, with both positive and negative evaluations included in the scoring.

Gibbons is available to meet with and advise all Members of the credit union to review their financial and investment options.  There is no cost for the service; rather, it’s one of the many benefits of Membership in the 82-year old financial institution.  Meetings are scheduled by appointment Monday through Saturday at all CCU offices.
