Dorothie L. Murphy (nee Steele), 87, formerly of Mundelein, died January 14, 2013, at Lake Forest Hospital
She was born February 12, 1925 in Chicago, and had been a resident of the Mundelein area since 1956. Dorothie was presently a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish and was a former active member of Santa Maria del Popolo Parish. In the middle 1960's, she had served as a volunteer for Condell Medical Center, Libertyville.
Mrs. Murphy is survived by her children, William (Catherine) Murphy, Kathleen (Andrew) Resney, Mary Frances Murphy and Joseph (Robyn) Murphy; 12 grandchildren; and her siblings, Jayne Harrold, William (Barbara) Steele and John Steele.
Dorothie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 1993; and her son, Tom in 1986.
A funeral Mass will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 22333 Erhart Road, Mundelein (Fremont Center), IL, where there will be a visitation from 11:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
