Obituary: Dorothy A. Raab

Dorothy A. Raab, 90, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born March 1, 1922, in Chicago, and was a former resident of Glenview, Chicago and Linn Creek, Mo. Dorothy had lived in Vernon Hills for the past four years and enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and fishing. Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Raab of Vernon Hills; three grandchildren, Harold Schroeter of Hilton Head Island, S.C., Frank Schroeter of Des Plaines and Rich (Joanne) Schroeter of Mundelein; and four great-grandchildren, Burton, Harold, Kelly and Zachary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Raab, in 2000; and by her brothers, Robert and Harry Ackerman. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of services at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave., (Route 176), Libertyville.
