Obituary: Dorothy H. Lindeman

Services have been scheduled for Dorothy H. Lindeman, 105, of Vernon Hills.

Dorothy H. Lindeman, 105, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at her home. She was born Dec. 16, 1907, in Chicago, was a former resident of Waukegan and North Chicago, living in Vernon Hills for the past 10 years. Dorothy was a member of St. Mary of Vernon Parish, enjoyed playing the piano, crafts and world traveling. Surviving are her son, T. Larry Lindeman; five grandchildren, Lauri Holtzman, Frank (Kathy) Louis, Margaret Louis, Carolyn Louis and Paul (Bethany) Louis; five great-grandchildren, Dr. Rebecca Holtzman, Sarah Holtzman, and Jonathan, Sydney and Kaelyn Louis; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy Ann and Fred Louis; and 11 brothers and sisters, including her sister Lauretta Simpson in 2013. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home Ltd., 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at St. Mary of Vernon Church, 236 W. Highway 45, Indian Creek. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery.
