“Every year it just gets bigger and better,” Joseph said. “We hope this year is no exception! We’re also looking for a couple neighborhoods or local businesses to come up with a volleyball team to challenge us in the tournament. We only play together once a year, but we’re pretty good!”

Several local vendors help sponsor the event: Target (also the national sponsor), A-Z Entertainment, Record-A-Hit, the Vernon Hills Parks District and the Countryside Fire Protection District.

Additional information about the tournament can be found on the police department’s web site, www.VHPD.com (upcoming events). Anyone with additional questions, or to sign up a volleyball team, should call Officer Joseph at (847) 247-4889.
