Police Blotter: Alcohol, Retail Theft Arrests

The Vernon Hills Police Department reports arrests from Dec. 8-19.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Alcohol

Arun K. Yadava, 44, of 1850 Eastwood, Highland Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Dec. 8 near Milwaukee Avenue and Woodbine. He was also cited for having a suspended drivers license and speeding. He was released on a $3,000 recognizance bond pending a Dec. 26 court date.

Jonathan J. Ross, 22, of 33260 N. Park St., Wildwood, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Dec. 10 near Ring Drive and Townline Road. He was also cited for speeding and improper lane usage. He was released on his drivers license and a $1,000 recognizance bond pending a Jan. 9 court date.

Retail Theft

A juvenile boy was charged with retail theft Dec. 13 at Macy's, 1 Hawthorn Center. Police said he left the store without paying for just over $56 worth of clothing. He was released to his parent.

Two individuals were charged with retail theft Dec. 19 at Kohl's, 235 N. Milwaukee Ave. Police said the two women left the store without paying for merchandise valued at more than $1,200. Arrested were: Delfina Dominguez, 32, of 1991 2nd St., Highland Park; and Ana Chavez, 42, of 907 Westmoreland, Waukegan. Both were held for a bond hearing.
