Police Blotter: Alcohol, Warrant Arrests

The Vernon Hills Police Department reports arrests from Nov. 19-25.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Alcohol

Alexander Wu, 23, of 7 Foxhill Run, Monmouth Junction, NJ, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Nov. 24 near Ring Drive and Milwaukee Avenue. He was also cited for BAC over .08 and improper lane usage. He was released on a $3,000 recognizance bond pending a Dec. 26 court date.

Alyssa E. Elkins, 22, of 1108 Whitman Place, Vernon Hills, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Nov. 25 near Museum Boulevard and Ring Drive. Police said she was also cited for BAC over .08 and improper lane usage. She was released on her drivers license and $100 cash pending a Dec. 19 court date.

Criminal Damage to Property

A 15-year-old girl was charged with criminal damage to property Nov. 19 on the 300 block of Ashwood Court. Police said she damaged items in the home. She was referred to juvenile court.

Warrant

Keith Wilson, 19, of 1660 Norwood Ave., No. 201, Itasca, was arrested Nov. 21 on warrants out of Vernon Hills and DuPage County. He was wanted on a Vernon Hills warrant for residential burglary and on a DuPage County warrant for criminal trespass. He was turned over to the Lake County Jail.
