Police Blotter: Clothes, DVDs and Jewelry Stolen from Stores

The Vernon Hills Police Department reports theft and retail theft arrests from Nov. 17-25.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Retail Theft

A 13-year-old girl was charged with retail theft Nov. 17 at Claire's Boutique, 528 Hawthorn Center. Police said she left the store without paying for just over $16 worth of earrings. She was released on a notice to appear in court on Dec. 13.

Anders W. Eclov, 19, of 307 Haddon Circle, Vernon Hills, was charged with retail theft Nov. 20 at JC Penney, 4 Hawthorn Center. Police said he left the store without paying for $185 worth of clothing. He was released on a notice to appear in court on Dec. 13.

Francisco Cruz-Ramirez, 32, of 560 Michigan Ave. No. 1, Highland Park, was charged with retail theft Nov. 23 at Kohl's, 235 N. Milwaukee Ave. Police said he left the store without paying for $117 worth of perfume. He was released on $120 cash bond pending a Dec. 13 court date.

Joann J. Marqui, 46, of 720 S. Butterfield Road, Libertyville, was charged with retail theft Nov. 24 at Walmart, 555 E. Townline Road. Police said she left the store without paying for nearly $217 worth of DVDs. She was released on a notice to appear in court on Dec. 13.

Two women were charged with retail theft Nov. 25 at JC Penney, 4 Hawthorn Center. Police said the women left the store without paying for just over $245 worth of perfume and cosmetics. Arrested were: Laurie B. Polisky, 19, of 1780 Overland Court, Deerfield; and Samantha M. Rohn, 20, of 119 Forestway Drive, Deerfield. Both were released on a notice to appear in court on Jan. 10.

Theft

A 16-year-old boy was charged with theft Nov. 19 on the 200 block of Abilene Lane. He was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a notice to appear in court on Dec. 13.
