Police Blotter: Forgery, Retail Theft Arrests

The Vernon Hills Police Department reports arrests from Dec. 4-14.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Retail Theft

Mary E. Goodridge, 36, of 517 Buckingham Place, Libertyville, was charged with retail theft Dec. 4 at Walmart, 555 Townline Road. Police said she left the store without paying for just over $28 worth of cat food. She was released on a notice to appear in court Jan. 10.

Three individuals were charged with retail theft Dec. 14 at Sears, 2 Hawthorn Center. Police said three women left the store without paying for just under $788 worth of merchandise. Arrested and charged with retail theft were: Tammy R. Glauser, 48, of 36355 N. Route 41 No. 16, Gurnee; Lorie Janine Cassiani, 47, of 36355 N. Route 41 No. 20, Gurnee; and Jennifer M. Relyea, 26, of 22025 117th St., Bristol, WI. All three were held for a bond hearing.

Forgery

Juan J. Aguirre, 38, of 402 Tanglewood Court, Vernon Hills, was charged with forgery Dec. 12 at Toys R Us, 555 E. Townline Road. Police said he took someone's wallet and used her credit cards to make purchases without her permission. Aguirre was also cited for identity theft, theft and credit card fraud. He was released on $10,000 cash bond.

Drugs

Marissa V. Brown, 18, of 334 Cherry Valley Road, Vernon Hills, was charged with possession of cannabis Dec. 13 at Century Park, 1000 Lakeview Parkway. She was released on $120 cash bond pending a Jan. 10 court date.
