Police Blotter: Man Charged with Stealing $2,395 in Fragrances

ALCOHOL

Peter Glodz, 28, of 243 Ridgemoor Ave., Mundelein, was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage June 22 at Creekside Drive and Winfield Court. His court date is July 10 in Waukegan.

Valeriy A. Kabalkin, 19 of 2145 Beaver Creek Drive, Vernon Hills, and Jacob A. Reinhardt, 19, of 1307 Cromwell Court, Vernon Hills, were charged with misrepresentation of age by a minor June 24 at 7-11 after police said they attempted to purchase alcohol with someone else’s identification. Their court dates are July 11 in Mundelein.

BURGLARY 

Two 14-year-old old boys and one 13-year-old boy were charged with burglary and criminal damage to property June 20 at Prairie Material, 1200 Butterfield Road. Police said they gained entry to the building, damaged a soda machine and then took soda from inside the machine. Their court dates were not available.

THEFT

Li Su, 23, of 22 Lindon Lane, Vernon Hills, was charged with retail theft June 18 at Target after police said he left the store without paying for $305.55 in electronics and food. His court date is June 27 in Waukegan.

Lasarah D. Richards, 20, of 1168 Windbrooke Drive, Buffalo Grove, was charged with theft and retail theft June 18 at Macy’s after police said she took $200 from her register and left the store without paying for $149.50 in clothing. Her court date is July 23 in Waukegan. 

Jason F. Edwards, 36, of 521 N. Wille St., Mount Prospect, was charged with retail theft June 18 at Target after police said he left the store without paying for $129.99 in electronics. His court date is July 11 in Mundelein. 

Alfonso Carter Jr., 23, of 3240 N. 25th St., Milwaukeee, Wis., was charged with two counts of retail theft June 19 at Sephora after police said he left the store without paying for $2,395 in fragrances. He was also arrested on a warrant for retail theft from the Gurnee Police Department. His court date is July 2 in Waukegan.

Karina Prado, 18, of 1513 Woodbine Drive, Round Lake Beach, was charged with two counts of retail theft June 20 at Abercrombie after police said she left the store without paying for $192 in clothing. Her court date is July 8 in Waukegan.

Mariana Mendoza, 19, of 915 Westmoreland Drive, Vernon Hills, and a 17-year-old girl were charged with theft June 22 at JC Penney. Police said they caused a loss of $1,368.53 to the store by under-ringing merchandise, taking merchandise without paying and committing fraudulent returns. The 17-year-old was also charged with illegal possession of alcohol. Their court dates were not available.

Devin L. Stewart, 20, of 604 Escanaba, Calumet City, was charged with retail theft June 23 at Sears after police said he left the store without paying for perfume and clothing. His court date is Aug. 8 in Mundelein.
