Police Blotter: Methamphetamine Possession, Grocery Store Theft

These incidents were among the official reports of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

POSSESSION

A 17-year-old boy was charged with possession of tobacco by a minor and smoking in a non-designated area on March 1 at the Vernon Hills Metra station. His court date is April 11.

Austin R. Pisula, 21, of 201 Arcadia Ct., Vernon Hills, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, battery to a police officer  and resisting arrest on March 2 at his home. Police said while they were conducting a well-being check, Pisula picked the pushed the officers. He was remanded on a $75,000 bond. His court date was not available.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

Li Su, 22, of 22 Lindon Lane, Vernon Hills, was charged with criminal damage to property on Feb. 26 after police said he damaged a neighbor’s car. He posted a $120 cash bond and was given an April 11 court date in Mundelein.

THEFT

Marcus E. Bradford, 19, of 301 Cypress Lane, Libertyville, was charged with retail theft on Feb. 28 at Mariano’s. Police said he took food and alcohol valued at more than $230 from the store over the course of several days. He posted a $120 cash bond and was given an April 11 court date in Mundelein.
