Police Blotter: Retail Theft, Alcohol and Drug Arrests

The Vernon Hills Police Department reports arrests from Nov. 1-4.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Alcohol

Kerstyn M. Kleffner, 22, of 546 Bobby Lane, Mundelein, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence Nov. 1 near Hawthorn Mall, 122 Hawthorn Center. She was also cited for improper lane usage. She was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond and her drivers license pending a Nov. 21 court date.

Drugs

Terrance M. Stevens, 24, of 236 S. Shawnee Terrace, Louisville, KY, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia Nov. 1 on the 800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on a $1,500 recognizance bond. He was also wanted on a Clark County, IN, warrant for probation violation. He was turned over to the Lake County Jail to await extradition.

Disorderly Conduct

Frank J. Victor, 21, of 3116 Old McHenry Road, Long Grove, was charged with disorderly conduct Nov. 1 near Townline and Butterfield Roads. He was released on a notice to appear in court Dec. 13.

Retail Theft

Juliana R. Heller, 33, of 39 Constitution Court, Vernon Hills, was charged with retail theft Nov. 2 at Walmart, 555 E. Townline Road. Police said she left the store without paying for about $137 worth of merchandise. She was released on a notice to appear in court Dec. 13.

Marcia C. Monaco, 24, of 510 N. Milwaukee Ave. Unit F, Libertyville, was charged with retail theft Nov. 3 at Kohl's, 235 N. Milwaukee Ave. Police said she left the store without paying for about $114 worth of jewelry. She was released on $120 cash bond pending a Dec. 13 court date.

Becky E. Batterton, 36, of 29597 N. Waukegan Road No. 304, Lake Bluff, was charged with retail theft Nov. 3 at Macy's, 1 Hawthorn Center. Police said she left the store without paying for about $450 worth of clothing. She was released on $150 cash bond pending a Nov. 26 court date.

Ali R. Domanico-Fitzgerald, 18, of 1018 Welder Ave., McHenry, was charged with retail theft Nov. 4 at Claire's Boutique, 528 Hawthorn Center. Police said she left the store without paying for $6.50 worth of jewelry. She was released on a notice to appear in court Dec. 13.

Two 12-year-old girls were charged with retail theft Nov. 4 at Icing, 619 Hawthorn Center. Police said they left the store without paying for $36 worth of sunglasses. They were released on a notice to appear in court Dec. 13.

Two girls, ages 16 and 17, were charged with retail theft Nov. 4 at Icing, 619 Hawthorn Center. Police said they left the store without paying for about $38 worth of jewelry. They were released on a notice to appear in court Dec. 13.

Possession of Lost Property

A 15-year-old girl was charged with possession of lost property Nov. 3 on the 300 block of Ashwood Court. Police said she took an iPhone that was left behind by the owner. She was released on a notice to appear in court Dec. 13.
