Police Blotter: Retail Theft, Fraudulent ID Arrests

The Vernon Hills Police Department reports arrests from Sept. 25-29.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Retail Theft

A 16-year-old boy was arrested for retail theft Sept. 25 at Sears, 2 Hawthorn Center. He was released on a notice to appear in court Oct. 11.

Two girls, ages 16 and 17, were arrested for retail theft Sept. 26 at Macy's, 1 Hawthorn Center. They were released on a notice to appear in court Nov. 8.

Ashley N. Thomas, 27, of 2851 S. King Drive, Chicago, was arrested for retail theft Sept. 29 at Macy's, 1 Hawthorn Center. She was released on $160 cash bond pending an Oct. 16 court date.

Unlawful Possession of Fraudulent Identification

Yadira G. Estrada-Pozo, 37, of 112 Brookwood Court, Vernon Hills, was arrested for unlawful possession of fraudulent identification Sept. 25 on the 100 block of Brookwood Court. She was released on a $50,000 recognizance bond.
