Three New Officers Join Vernon Hills Police Department
New police officers hired in Vernon Hills.
The Vernon Hills Police Department has three new officers on its force. It is the first time in five years that the department has increased its staff, reported the Vernon Hills Review.
Officers Adam Boyd, Don Smith and Robert Caselli were sworn-in earlier this month during a special ceremony at the police department.
The Village of Vernon Hills has had a hiring freeze in place to cut costs. Staff reductions were also made across departments.
