Vernon Hills Police Blotter: DUIs, Theft Arrests

Police release reports from Nov. 2.

Vernon Hills police released the following reports:

  • Eugene J. Goodman, 51, 319 Dempster #304, Evanston was charged with reckless conduct Nov. 10 after he drove his vehicle in a menacing manner at a business in the 700 block of N. Milwaukee Ave., police said. His bond was set at $1,500.
  • Katrina A. Buensuceso, 23, 18795 Wooddale, Lake Villa, faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving over the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level over .08, no insurance, speeding and failure to stop when turning right, police said. Buensuceso was stopped on a traffic violation on Nov. 19 at Butterfield Road and Hawthorn Parkway, according to reports.
  • A 15-year-old was taken into custody Nov. 10 and arrested for possession of alcohol by a minor at Century Park, 1000 Lakeview Parkway, police said.
  • Craig H. Honda, 25, 333 Dunbar Road, Mundelein, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and a blood alcohol level over .08, police said. He was arrested Nov. 11 at White Barn Road and Barn Swallow Lane when he was seen weaving heavily in his lane, police said.
  • Two women, Katarzyna Szwajnos, 19, 1584 Sunflower Drive, Romeoville, and Tomikieyo Lucas, 40, 952 Belle Plaine, Gurnee, were charged with retail theft Nov. 11, police said.  Szwajnos and Lucas left Kohl’s, 235 N. Milwaukee Ave., without paying for $1,515.89 worth of merchandise, police said.
