Lydia Gabriel, a freshman at BHS just knew she wanted to do something to help when she heard about the 27 people killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14.

Gabriel recorded the tracks at a Barrington studio, and will have them available to purchase later this week. She plans to donate all money raised to the Sandy Hook Support Fund set up at Newtown Savings Bank. The CDs will be available for whatever monetary amount a person would like to donate.

Lydia’s mom Lisa describes her as a loving and giving person who often thinks of others first.

“She goes to the nursing homes to sing for the people that live there…she loves to sing to people and be able to bless them and encourage them,” Lisa Gabriel said.
