Hawthorn District 73 Added to List of Closures for Jan. 7
Students are slated to return Jan. 8.
UPDATE, 12:42 p.m.: Hawthorn District 73 officials announced on the district website that classes have been canceled for Tuesday due to the "extreme weather conditions."

Original story: Classes have been canceled at Libertyville and Vernon Hills High Schools for Tuesday.
Community High School District 128 shared this message on Facebook: "Due to the continued subzero temperatures and dangerous wind chills forecast for tomorrow, there will be no school at Libertyville High School and Vernon Hills High School on Tues., Jan. 7. All school and district offices will be closed, and all athletics and school activities will be canceled. Please remember that Wednesday, Jan. 8, is a late start day."
