The Vernon Hills High School Girls Cross Country team competed in the state finals this weekend in Peoria.
Overall, the school placed 12th at the state meet. It was the team's first time qualifying for state.
Individual results were as follows:
- Kristen Whitney, senior, 18:13.
- Vivian Overbeck, freshman, 18:27.
- Samantha Hershman, sophomore, 18:36.
- Lexi Reigh, freshman, 18:55.
- Ali Mark, senior, 19:16.
- Shannon Skeoch, freshman, 19:20.
- Tara Rooney, senior, 19:48.
