Snow Causes After-School Activity Cancellations, Community Building Closures

District 73

All after-school activities in District 73 have been canceled, according to the district's website.

District 128

All after-school and evening activities have been canceled at Vernon Hills and Libertyville high schools, according to the district's website.

Stevenson High School

Stevenson High School has canceled all after-school activities. Classes will be dismissed at the normal time. The regional boys basketball game at Prospect High School has been moved to 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Cook Memorial Public Library District

The Cook Park and Aspen Drive libraries will close at 3 p.m. "Please stay safe and we'll see you tomorrow...as long as the roads are clear," the library posted on its Facebook page.

Vernon Area Public Library

The Vernon Area Public Library will close at 3 p.m. today. "Keep safe, everyone," the library posted on Buffalo Grove Patch's Facebook page.

Vernon Hills Park District

The Sullivan Community Center will close at 5 p.m. All after-school and evening programs, including programs held at Hawthorn School, have been canceled.

The Lakeview Fitness Center will remain open as conditions allow, the park district said around 2 p.m. Mat Pilates, all swim lessons and swim team practices have been canceled. The Little Learners Childcare program will close at 4:30 p.m.

At the Laschen Community Center, the Weight Loss Challenge has been canceled. The Lakewood Villas Condo Association meeting has also been canceled.
