Golf Tournament to Benefit Alzheimer’s Association

Event at White Deer Run Golf Club in Vernon Hills will feature retired Chicago Bears Robin Earl and Michael Hoban.

A fun day of golfing alongside NFL players, including retired Chicago Bears players Robin Earl and Michael Hoban, and it is all for a good cause. is hosting the 2nd Annual Golf for a Cause to End Alzheimer’s, and all of the proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Association, earmarked for the Lake County area. The event needs the public’s help! We are looking for golfers to sign up for the event, and we have room for more people to participate in the fundraiser dinner. The festivities begin on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 10:30 a.m. at the in Vernon Hills. 

“You always feel great when you’re giving back,” said Brad Jacobsen, regional sales director, Constant Care Family Management, the property management company for Autumn Leaves memory care communities. “I have a soft spot in my heart for people living with Alzheimer’s. My mother suffers from it, and I understand how families feel. The Alzheimer’s Association is near and dear to my heart.”

Autumn Leaves of Vernon Hills is dedicated to providing quality care for families living with dementia or Alzheimer’s. This event will allow the community to help others in need. This is the second year for the event, and the goal is to raise $10,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter.

“Our ultimate goal is not just to care for people living with Alzheimer’s or dementia,” said Jacobsen. “We also want to support organizations seeking a cure for Alzheimer’s.”

Schedule of Events:

Registration and Range Opens   10:30 a.m. 

Lunch — 11 a.m

Shotgun Start — 12:30 p.m.

Hors d’ oveures — 5 p.m.

Dinner and Prizes  — 6 p.m.
