Cops Make a Splash at Lake County Fair

Lake County Sheriff's Office officials are waiting to be dunked in the fair's dunk tank.

Remember that speeding ticket you got in Lake County?

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is offering an opportunity for citizens to get their revenge.

The office is staffing a dunk tank with Sheriff Mark Curran, deputies, and corrections officers at the Lake County Fair in Grayslake.

From noon to 8 p.m. through July 28, visitors can pay $5 for three chances to dunk the person inside the tank, which is next to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office outdoor display.  

All money raised will be donated to Special Olympics Illinois.

AAA Tent Masters and Party Rentals in Gurnee donated the dunk tank for this event.
