Stevenson Graduate Helps Others Recover From Eating Disorders

Mallory Silberman has just completed a nearly five month nationwide speaking and singing engagement tour for the National Eating Disorder Association.

Stevenson High School graduate Mallory Silberman is on a mission to fight eating disorders, the Buffalo Grove Countryside reports. 

Silberman is in recovery from the eating disorder bulimia nervosa, and wants to help others struggling with similar disorders. She just completed a nationwide tour, speaking and singing at events for the National Eating Disorder Association, the newspaper reports. Silberman has recorded a song about her struggles called “Something to Live For” and has sung it to hundreds nationwide as part of her fundraising efforts. She tells the Countryside she’s excited to “help others and let people know recovery is possible.”
