Vernon Township Office

<p>With headquarters at the corner of Buffalo Grove Road and Main Street, Vernon Township is a governing body that serves the northern three-quarters of Buffalo Grove, as well as portions of surrounding towns, including Arlington Heights, Bannockburn, Indian Creek, Lake Forest, Lincolnshire, Long Grove, Mettawa, Riverwoods, Vernon Hills and Wheeling.</p> <p>The administration building houses the offices of the township clerk, assessor and highway commissioner.</p> <p>Funded with tax dollars, the township provides a range of services, including general and emergency assistance, job counseling referrals, transportation and programs for seniors.</p> <p>A food pantry stocked by residents' donations assists families in need. The township sponsors a number of other donation-reliant giving programs, including the provision of school supplies, Thanksgiving food and holiday gifts.</p>
