They both needed to be gluten free, Trace's did't contain gluten. The other did so i could not try.Read More I wasn't crazy about the maple macadamia. Way too fattening. Plus macadamia's are high in fat anyway. I think it needed something else & could have tried to make less fattening!

We tasted both, and it's Swirtle, hands down. The Maple Macadamia went right down the disposal.

Overall, I preferred Trace's, but neither one would set off a craving for me. Penn's ice cream wasRead More ok but lacked enough vanilla flavor to me. Turtle candy normally contains pecans and I think it would have been a nice addition his ice cream. The "swirl" was more like hard chunks of overly salted chocolate and a little much for my taste. Trace's was good, but a salted caramel swirl would have been nice and maybe balanced some of the sweetness. The nuts should have been chopped a little too, because most of mine were almost whole. A macadamia nut brittle may have been better than just macadamia nuts. Both very worthy causes and both men are class acts, in my opinion.

It is about time they did something with that empty lot. It has been overgrown with weeds andRead More looking rundown since they tore down Franks some 10+ years ago. But I don't expect a real break on my taxes in LV - they will still be outrageous!

I'm excited to have TJ's coming to town. As far as our taxes go, I don't think it will have much ofRead More an impact. However, when you look at some communities in the area, our tax rate is very modest and we have outstanding schools which keeps our property values high. I love living in LV!
